OUR HISTORY
IMAGE Programs, Inc. was created in October 2000 by two young cousins,
Maurice Shaffer and Tianna Bailey, as an effort to give back to their community.
The Edgewood Court community played a significant role in their families’ lives. Maurice Shaffer grew up in Edgewood, where he was faced with many challenges
and obstacles. However, with strong parenting, influential teachers, mentors, and relatives, Maurice was able to focus on his academics, finish high school, and obtain
a bachelors degree from Georgia State University.
IMAGE was created to provide the opportunity to youth that many individuals gave
to Maurice and Tianna growing up. They believed that with proper love, support,
and motivation, any child can reach their full potential regardless of their environment, income, or cultural background.
